Janus Theatre
A brief history of the company:
The Janus Theatre Group is one of the great success stories of the amateur theatre in Peterborough. The Group developed from the Bushfield Tappers, a private dance school,in the early 1980, which started with just a half-dozen students. Very quickly the group grew and decided to spread its wings into the production of Musical Extravaganzas,Pantomimes and Plays.
Where to find us:
The Group has its home at St John`s Hall in West Town, Peterborough.
Pantomines and other shows:
Every February the group presents a pantomine to ever larger and more appreciative audiences with each passing year. A true famiy occasion, a Janus panto is full of music, song and laughter, with bright costumes and explosive effects. Between pantos, Janus presents Song and Dance shows, with special shows for the elderly and charity shows. Check out our News & Events page for upcoming shows
Janus charge a subscription fee for membership and ploughs back all the proceeds from each production.
Janus has grown over the years into a spectacular, shining example of the amateur theatre spirt, thanks to all the hard work of its members on stage and behind the scenes and of course, the support of its audience, over the years. If you have been part of that audience, then thank you.
If you think you could be a part of the Janus Theatre Team, on stage or off, please let us know. We always welcome new talent and good ideas.
